On the 26th of December 2004 a 9.1 magnitude quake struck off the Northern tip of Indonesia.
Sophia Langdon finds herself in Patong, Thailand on a work business trip when she meets Elijah Whitmore who also is on a business trip. After a Christmas night of laughter and deep conversations the last thing they expected was tragedy to struck down on their lives.
2 complete strangers fighting for life in a foreign country, it's in times of desperation for survival when even strangers become you biggest comfort.

Roaming hands and large swells.
Buck wanted to go home. He wanted nothing more than to be back with his family and to go home. Things had been rough this last year though, first his leg got crushed, he had a pulmonary embolism, he was told he couldn't come back to work, and then there was a tsunami. Even with now being allowed back at work after making the mistake of filing a lawsuit, things were still a bit strained. His family and home still felt like they were an arm's length out of reach. Meanwhile, she must push aside her sorrow and find shelter with all of the other orphans, where she meets a boy named Isaac. Similar to Ava's situation, Isaac's parents are nowhere to be found. Together, they search frantically for their families in all the hospitals and shelters, and do everything to overcome the trauma the tide has brought them.
