Mature
Twenty-year-old Lucius Sentius, only son of a well-to-do luxury-goods importer, assumes–along with most ordinary people in the city of Rome–that the debauched days of Nero are behind them. Rome has settled down under a sober new ruler, Vespasian, and old-fashioned values rule with him. But as Lucius begins to peer under the surface, he discovers a city of intrigues and manipulation, of seduction and corruption, that make his attempt to create an adult relationship with his lifelong friend Trio much more complicated than he would have imagined.

Trio is reserved and serious, concerned with reputation and what he’s been taught by his pious family. Lucius is impetuous and poetic, and the city’s hidden side just might suit him. The knot of friendship tying them together since childhood had seemed an unbreakable bond, but it might not withstand all that Rome can throw against them.

Format: serial in 7 parts. Each part will be 3-4 chapters, and each chapter is 3500-10,000 words.

Current status: Writing complete on all 7 parts; in editing with my excellent, excellent editorial team.

The Pompeiian Horse

23 parts Complete Mature

After many years away- fighting countless battles to keep the Roman Empire safe, Prime Centurion Vettius returns to Pompeii, his hometown. During this almost forced vacation, he discovers something he wasn't expecting in the populous sea resort. He debates between accepting it and leaving Pompeii because facing the implications of his discovery is too complicated. Equus the Stallion is a former gladiator living a different life now. He's Pompeii's sweetheart, beloved and adored by almost everyone. Those who don't love him envy him or have even darker motives to wish him ill. Still, he's a celebrity and stays in everyone's mind and heart. When Equus and Vettius discover what they are to each other's past (one spared the life of the other a long time ago), their present becomes conflicted in more than one way, because life is not easy in the Roman Empire, especially when you're at opposite ends of the social scale. Readers beware; this story contains mock battles, emotional battles, and gory battles. It also contains naughty man-on-man foreplay in secluded places and "throw your sandals away" intercourse. All characters portrayed in this book are age 18 or older. For adults only.
