"Let's go!" Ellie screamed, running away from the elementary school grounds. "Last one there is a rotten egg!" We chased after her, our minds focusing on being the winner. We ran towards our secret hideout, a abandoned house that we claimed as soon as we saw it years ago. Ellie, Edward, Skylar and I were the bestest of friends. We thought nothing could separate us at the time, and we never worried about it. We had forever ahead of us, and we'd take it on together. Or so we thought.
