Lucian has been treated like a prince his entire life. He was the youngest out of five kids, and the only boy. Though his sisters are clearly loved very much, since he was the first born male of the Alpha and Luna, he was destined to become the next Alpha the moment he was born. The Everpine Pack isn't the worst of the five pack in the region. He's been friends with nearly every pack member since he was a pup. But they are very strict on the rules. Which include: The Alphas must be directly related to the Guardian Ancestors who served the Moon Goddess long ago. The first werewolves to exist. Which means, any adopted pups of the Alpha family will be loved and accepted like any other Alpha pup, but they will not grow up to take on the throne. As well as... The heir can only be a male sired from the Luna of the Alpha. Meaning, no pups born from any woman other than his true mate can take the throne after the Alpha resigns. Lucian is now twenty-eight years old this coming autumn. And he has a bit of a problem. When you lose your mate, you feel it. It's a horrible, burning pain that leaves a scar somewhere on your body, meant to show how your mate had died. Lucian lost his mate before he even met them. For Luc, the scar was a jagged mark on his collarbone. He was meant to bear that mark for the rest of his life. Because of this, the pack was pretty much doomed. The members tried to urge Lucian's parents to try and have another pup, but they were getting old. Having a baby wasn't as easy as it used to be. Lucian was prepared to live through the shame of having sentenced his pack to death. But, his Beta soon showed up with a human woman and a five year old boy. If that wasn't strange enough, his bond scar had mysteriously disappeared five years before this event.

(MxM) Wolf's blood, human body & Alpha soul. A Maelstrom merge that was left to be dealt by one person alone. Alexander Wolf, the born-human descendant of the greatest pack of his world, is the sole heir of the Alpha of the prestigious Prime Crescent Pack. His birth has always been a calamity, a distress. Every breath he takes reminds him of the misfortune he's caused to his parents, family, and pack. Although welcomed, he doubts their sincerity, as he lacks a wolf and the ability to shift like other werewolves. He's spent his life alone, hiding behind high walls and large doors whenever his parents tried to introduce him to the pack. But now, with his coming of age, he must step forward into alpha duties and serve his pack. Will he find himself ruling with grace, or will he run away like he always has? Will he give up his birthright due to the Moon Goddess's cruel twist of fate? As a human in a wolf pack, his life is far from fortunate, unlike his human mother, the Luna, who is protected by the powerful Alpha, his father. However, he can't escape the whispers within the pack: "Can a human really be our next Alpha? No way!" His life is already a mess, and the Awakening Ceremony, a significant milestone, has shaken him to his core. He doubts his ability to fulfill alpha duties and find a mate bond, especially without a wolf of his own. Will he find someone to accept him without being looked down upon? Can he satisfy his primal urges without being a werewolf himself? But he doubts whether he'll have a mate at all. Cover by @CuteFairyDust Started: 28/06/2024
