Mordakai (Goes by Kai) started out his life in the rough parts of a village, avoiding dangers and people his best ability. That is until he is caught by underground illegal fighters. The last people he would ever want to be caught by, and now he works for them against his will. Participating in fights as a pawn and pet to the enemies.
Natsuya and his friends Blyth, Embra, and Sasuki manage to get involved with the fights as they produce a plan to save their fellow soldiers who had previously been abducted. They only intended to make it a quick and quiet rescue or scouting, but managed to be caught off guard when Natsuya gets distracted by someone younger than himself by a few years. Curiosity of course, getting the best of him. And costing the team.
