Charlotte has always had a good life. Nice family, trustworthy friends, Even a few pets. But one day, it all changes. She walks in on her dad abusing her twin sister. She manages to get him to stop, and to convince her little sister to run away with her, but she can't convince her mom to come. This story alternates between her and her sisters prospective, explaining what happened to them after they ran away. After they discover an injured unicorn, they learn that there really is magic out there. They are cast into a world of mythical creatures, and somehow end up carrying the fat of the world on there shoulders.
