"Then who?"He said, his deep blue eyes pleaded.
"Who what,Grayson?"I stared back at him,my chocolate ones seems to be mirroring his emotions.
"Who will take care of you when I'm gone then?"He furrowed his sharp brows at me,taunting me.
"I can take care of myself,I'm not a child anymore."I took another breath.
"W-we're not kids anymore,Gray."He stepped back a little, seeming to be in shock by me calling him by his childhood nickname but he quickly recovered from it.
"I wasn't talking about physically but emotionally, who will be there when Isa's..gone too?"His voice wavered a bit when he spoke my little sister's name.He loved her too.
"She will be fine and so am I,don't worry about us.You have bigger things to worry about."I gave him a smile that didn't quite reached my eyes but I hope he fell for it.
"But I-."I cut him off.
"You'll be back,won't you?"
He sighed and continued, running his hands on his jet black mess of hair.
"Yes and when I do,I'll save you just as you saved me,Ara.I promise you."He closed the distance between us and hugged my small frame.
But then he left, leaving me with an empty promise and a broken heart.
