Of course they didn't get along when they should have, their parents said ' people like us should stay together '. They didn't listen, they'd say ' it's not the 40's anymore- we don't need to be bestfriends and stay together.' That's teenagers for you- for Derry 1989, the year of the dreaded flood. Not much was diffrent.

Henley would tell you- she knew one thing about herself for certain. Stanley Uris was a no good- stuck up brat.

Stan would respond clearly while saying she is an insufferable child.

These words and many more often escaped from one another after temple, or when the Uris family held the weekly summer cookout.

But hey- the loser's club sure likes her. Stanley- not so much.
