The story is about the girl Allie, who goes to college in New York. In New York exists a taxi that always drived the client to the person or the place the client desires the most. Mostly to their soulmates.
In this century the human kind has discovered that soulmates actually exist and they are being confirmed by the government. So you may have already thought it and you're right, Allie takes accidentally the wrong cab and ends up with a "soulmate", even though she doesn't believe in those. So how does she react and does her normal college girl life change? Read her story here if you are interested.
