It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory. Henry enlists in the military against his parents' wishes and throws himself into the life of a British soldier in Flanders. But it is far from what he expects: Henry's fantasies of righteous battle fade into the grim reality of gruesome death and shell-shock. He and his fellow soldier Jacob must help each other survive the cruel trenches, but it is no longer certain that either of them will return to England alive. Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront. I wrote this for a history project while studying WWI and got way too involved in it, so here you are. WARNINGS: gun/bomb/gas-related violence, war descriptions, graphic death, suicide attempt. Stationed on a mountaintop in the Fulda Gap during the Cold War, the barracks is buried beneath meters of snow every winter and the Rear Detachment cut off from all help. Every prior year has resulted in dozens of deaths and wounded via enemy action or madness induced violence. This year he's woken up, badly injured, on the floor of a barracks room, with no clue how he got there, who he had for backup, or why he's been left for dead by persons unknown. He's not completely there, his brain malfunctioning and even the lizard unable to get all his systems running. But someone has let the winter into the barracks, and Sergeant Stillwater, badly wounded and barely more than a dangerous animal himself, has to survive in Arctic conditions and see, not only who he has to defeat to survive, but who else might need his help.Complete
On the Run - A Warhammer 40k Fanfiction
In the universe of Warhammer 40k in the grim darkness, a lone Eldar warrior is faced with an ultimate test of her survival skills. After her and the rest of the army she was with failed in their attack against the awakening of their ancient robotic foes, they retreated to a fortififed location in the ruined human city, waiting and gathering their strength whilst having helped the local humans in their current war agains the brutal, savage and greenskinned Orks. Being ignored by her superior of a looming threat by the hostile Necron army approaching that they encountered and now larger than prior army, big enough to slay her whole unit comes closer with every second passing. The Howling Banshee Taerana decides to leave her kin to avoid the same fate after they failed to heed her warning of the large threat and numbers the enemy posseses because of her lack of proper combat experience. Read on Taerana's story as she tries to escape the war-torn city along a human ally to the outskirts of the city where she may be rescued by her kin before the chasing Necrons slay the Eldar survivor.Complete

Years upon years drag, time wasted in the confinement of normalized abuse. They solemnly accepted that they'd rot away; their leg broken and long since stopped hurting, the infection slowly eating away their very own bones. It was too late for hope. It was too late for a miracle. Until it really isn't. (In which you get hit by a car, punch someone in the face, and self-sign yourself as a caretaker to two aliens.)
