Your prospects are limited when you don't exist, but Sang Sorenson has been getting by as a cashier in a grocery store after dropping out of high school. Most days, she's just glad to have some independence, but she's been drifting through her life for two years, too alone to realize she's lonely. Then, late one Sunday night someone comes through her line with more apple pie than one man should be able to eat. The next day, she finds herself helping a young girl with a ...delicate purchase that the girl's older brother and his friend can't handle. Then Sean stops by a little mom-and-pop grocery store after a long shift and discovers their bakery section. Kota and Nate take Jess bra shopping, and the cutest girl they've ever seen intervenes when they are less than helpful. And Luke finally meets someone who values pancakes as much as he does...possibly more. And it's barely even Tuesday. ~oOo~ This is a reverse harem fanfic based on C.L. Stone's Ghost Bird series. Sang has always been a little bit different. She was made fun of for being a math-whiz in school up until she was kidnapped. Growing up in the crime world from a young age, she tried to do what she was told and keep her head down...but...that was easier said than done. Trouble seems to follow her like it's her middle name. Eventually things come to a head that puts her in the Academy's sights, but the struggles only keep piling up as she is shuffled around, wondering when or even if she will ever find somewhere she feels like is home. Disclaimer: All recognizable characters belong to CL Stone. Warnings: This story is 18+ Mature. It will have extreme and graphic violence, murder, swearing...all the fun stuff. I don't separate out mature scenes or warn where they are. If any of those warnings were not to your liking, or if any of these may trigger you--please choose wisely before reading.
