A teenage girl runs away from home to escape her mother. She starts a new life but what she doesn't expect is to run into a gang leader along the way.
Kiara Stone is 17 and in High school. She lives with her mom who despises Kiara and thinks everything she does is wrong, and her dad, she never met. Her mom claims that he took off because Kiara was born and that he was a selfish bastard that only cared about himself. For some reason though, Kiara never believed her mother. She always felt that deep down he was a good person and that he wouldn't have left if her mom wasn't such a bitch. Her mom is a business woman who seems to care more about work than anything else. Kiara has 2 best friends that she considers family. Everyone at school doesn't like Kiara or doesn't care to notice her. They think she is a shy nobody who they can walk all over, but one day at school she gets caught in a fight and when she has to face her mom, everything changes, leading Kiara to her New life.
Aiden Craigen is the leader of a small gang in New York that is well connected. He is 18 and has a sister who is 16. Aiden had to take care of her after their parents died when he was 13 in a shooting, leaving him the gang. Aiden's uncle John helped him through it. Before his dad died he always told Aiden to never show weakness because their rivals would use it against him. So Aiden did just that. He never showed weakness to anyone except for Chelsie, until he met her.
These 2 kids have completely different back stories, but when they meet, they can't stop themselves from becoming friends, but will they find out that Kiara has secrets of her own that she doesn't even know about? Read to find out more. : )

This is a story about love and friendship. Friendship can grow so fast, it doesn't matter how long you know that person. If it's right, it's right. Kiara has always been quite lonely. She didn't know what real friendship was like. Until she met Cassandra. Cassandra was that type of friend everyone needs and Kiara was really glad to have Cassandra. They did everything together. Kiara was really depressed before she met Cassandra. She had been bullied and picked on since as long as she can remember. There wasn't even a reason for it and that makes it much worse. After a few years of good friendship, Kiara realized her love for Cassandra took a different turn, she started to have feelings and soon after, she and Cassandra got into a relationship. Life was good. Too good. After graduation, something really really terrible happened. Cassandra got into a car accident. It was really bad. She got into a really bad coma.
