Arthur looked up. No one ever asked. What was his name? Oh yeah. "Arthur Morgan, sir."
"Dutch Van Der Linde," the man replied, reaching out his hand to shake.
Arthur accepted it. His hand seemed little compared to the other man's.
Soon after, Dutch's associate exited the store. Dutch stood, so Arthur naturally did the same, wanting to get on the men's good side.
"And that would be my associate, Hosea Matthews!" Dutch turned to Hosea. "Hosea, meet this young chap here, Arthur Morgan."

Mostly peaceful, largely law-abiding (with some natural exceptions)...the tensions between Arthur Morgan and John Marston revolve not around the pull of a trigger but the daughter of Dutch Van der Linde, who John has grown up loving, and Arthur's just come to notice. How will their shifting affections affect, in turn, the motley family they've built? *** This is a new prequel to the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, featuring an OC, Dutch's daughter Emmylou "Lou" Van der Linde. A heads-up that I did write a short with Dutch's daughter in it a while back ("Three Protégés", in the Bellicose collection, but this one will be different.
