All Ginessa knows is that the sea doesn't want her. And she doesn't want it back. She'd rather become foam than deal with whatever past she's had. But her attempt at beaching herself catches the attention of a human. 

Merfolk are pets and treasured items for show, but what happens if a human just wants a friend?

Regardless, he doesn't fight, not wanting to make it worse. Worry increases when she's spotted again. Muriel begins to develop a crush on Prince Philip after he frees her from the net. When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers. Philip's bodyguard begins to catch on that Muriel is different and Percy and the king quickly become desperate to find her. My own version of "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen. Used to be called, "Mermaid Wish." (Magic in this world works differently than in my series, 'Tèarmann Chronicles')
