Lainey's life sucks. She's turned into Hydra's weapon, but she doesn't even know it. One day she wakes up in the care of the Avengers, and what she hears she doesn't want to believe. Her life was messed up before, and now it's 12 times worse.
Also, I'd like to add that I think the book, writing wise, gets better as you move on.

Y/n was kidnapped by hydra as a child and trained to become an assassin. Kill by kill she has been slowly getting her revenge. The last person on her hit list, the winter soldier. Book 2 This is a sequel to Hydras Weapon so if you haven't read that, I do recommend reading it first. At the end of the first book Peters brain could not handle everything and fell to the ground. The Avengers took the now unconscious boy to the sick bay. Days passed and Peter did not wake up. No one knew what to do and the mum had not made another appearance. When Peter did wake up he couldn't remember who he was. Everything he knew was gone. Will the avengers help Peter and give him a second chance at life or will it all end up crashing down? Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation.
