Jesse Andrews and Alexander Maxwell have never been on very good terms.
They were always jealous of each other, competing to see who was better because both thought the other had an easier life.
Jesse worked three jobs while still finding time to manage his five younger siblings and his alcoholic mother, his abusive father, and Alexander's bullshit.
Alexander lived on his own- he had no one, no family to turn to, no health insurance or support from his jackass of a father, nothing. He, like Jesse, worked three jobs, while still managing an internship, the haunting of his past, his fears and insecurities, and Jesse's bullshit.
What happens when Alexander meets an issue he can't overcome alone?
What happens when Jesse can't support himself and his family anymore and needs to ask for help?
What happens when these two worlds, complete opposites at both mind and at heart, finally collide?
