On a war decimated earth, there are few safe places, and even fewer safe cities. All that's left are ruins, woods, and cities where humans are trying to build society again. No one knows the truth behind the war, but it is believed the Strongs began it. And so, to stop it from happening again, they are killed. Most humans now have an affinity of varying strength for one of the elements: fire, earth, water, air, and rarely mind. There are some who have a Strong affinity. The Strongs are able to manipulate the elements - and are killed for it. Fighters are born without an affinity and trained from a young age to kill the Strongs. The fire elves are a very old species, dating back to the time of The Great War, centuries ago. Elves are distant descendants of the Goddess of Elements, The First Elf. She had four aspects, corresponding to each of the four elements. She gave her elemental powers to her kin, elves and humans and many other monsters. They were Demi-immortal, only to be killed by deliberate intent. They have familiars, linked to their very souls, which they bond with using an ancient ceremony. Elementals, the children of elves after centuries of descent. Humans are the most common species, and are generally magicless. Humans with magic are called mages . Elves are very rare, as all elves went into hiding after the Great War between the gods centuries ago. Occasionally and elf would leave home and into the world, but no fire elf has ever left their home and had children living on the mainland so there are no fire elementals. Fire elves have a bond with the dragons who's volcanoes and islands they shared, a bond that would last generations. In the current day, there is one tribe remaining: the Ryoko Tribe. The name meant "woman who is like the dragon," a fitting name for a tribe led by a head woman. This woman was lady Hyria Tatsu, the eldest of the tribe. Her apprentice goes by the name of Mina Ryoto. Star and Moon, two dragonets, would only bond with Mina. None of the other children were able to bond with the two dragonets. This was one of the reasons Hyria had chosen Mina. Only those of great legends could bond with two beasts. It would be a hard road for her, but being this special could turn out for the best. The world might depend on her one day.
