Book two of the Alactria Trilogy!

When forced to flee from the Academy, she and her Anchemi soon get caught in the midst of a rebellion, and reunited with Phantom, learns the truth about the Dragon King and her heritage as the Queen of Dragons.

Extract:

The young dragonet lay curled up in a corner of the cave. She was silver all over, with golden horns, spines and claws. As you watched, the gold crept up her body whilst she slept, travelling from the horns, all the way down to the tip of the tail. In a blink you would have missed it. Where once a silver dragon had been sleeping, she was now fully gold, her breaths coming out in wisps of smoke from the scale lined nostrils. The dragon slowly opened a silver eye, with turquoise highlights near the pupil. She was awake, shown when she shifted and froze, before nervously turning her head to look at her wings; staring at them as if she had never seen them before. Her gaze travelled to the spines, the talons, and finally the shimmering scales that gave the illusion of liquid gold. A gust of wind moved the vines covering the entrance. Light flooded in, illuminating her surroundings, the dragon glittering and sparkling in the light. The wind died. The vines fell back. The darkness returned.

And the dragonet trembled.

My golden dragon was ready to fly me. You cannot imagine my excitement for the opportunity. Ailleacht (my dragon) has devised a cunning harness for me to buckle onto as she plans to push the limits of maned or should I say womaned flight. I climbed onto my dragon's back and buckled my ankles and knees down and adjusted the flight straps then immediately after signaling my dragon we were airborne. Our little island home appeared to fall way from me as we soared higher. It became a landscape in miniature. A mixed flock of puffins, guillemots and gulls joined us but were soon left in our wake as we soared higher and higher. The sea from this height appears calm and the sky clear and sun bright in a cloudless sky. Ailleacht then rolled and I was upside down as we fell like a cannon ball from the sky. I held up my hands and screamed for the joy of it and I admit to the terror. I screamed and screamed until I lost my voice and I gasped for breath. Then mere inches above the calm waters of the loch my dragon rolled me upright as we skimmed the surface. My belly felt like I was floating and weightless and I felt the spray on my face from the disrupted water surface as the powerful wings of my golden companion drove us along. We climbed again and I could see spread out before me my home and all of the Hebrides. In the distance out to sea we rapidly approached a thick band of snow white clouds and drove through them again and again rising higher. Then once again we climbed to enormous height and could find no air to breathe. We stalled in the silence of dead air and fell back to earth in a flat spin. I must fly again Aurelija, Dragon Rider

|| WINGS OF FIRE SPECIAL || Ahhhh! I've been writing this for so long and some parts are finally done! Here is some info on the main characters, the story should make sense itself :)) .: Princess Aqua :. Color: A light cyan (almost like Albatross') light grey underbelly, pitch white luminescent scales. Ocean blue eyes, tip of tail and legs are a fade from a darkish cyan to light. Age (Human years): 15 Occupation: Princess / Animus Accessories: 2 pearl white rings on her horns, pearl white armband with certain gems (skyfire.. etc). Description: Aqua is clever, stubborn and smart, she can defend for herself just fine and is rude to certain dragons, unlike some royal dragonets that want everything and all the attention, she is way different, she hates being at home in the palace, she likes exploring and being on her own, the forest is her second home, she has a secret den at the top of a mountain with a rushing waterfall beside it, she usually goes there to get away from home and River, the SeaWing she's supposed to get married to, but she doesn't even like him, he's obsessed with her and thinks he can't make any mistakes with her. .: Silver'Tear :. Tribe: NightWings (Non Hybrid) Color: Pitch black with shades of grey on his underscales, silver scale next to his grey eyes. Some light shades of silver on him. Age (Human years): 17 Occupation: Assassin Description: Silver is stubborn, rude, and doesn't open much about himself. He's a professional assassin and does most killing in the dark, he's a mix of a Bounty Hunter and assassin, he'll kill his target but won't accept money from it. He can be soft and kind at times but those are mainly only to people he trusts, he wears 2 silver horn rings and they have an unknown power. Not much is known about him, but when most dragons ask who/how someone died they usually know their answer.. Silver is very powerful and had lots of suspicions about Aqua in the story, but never addressed them out loud. -♤★ kyliie

This is a rewrite of my old story, Battle Scars. There will be a few plot changes but nothing too major. ---------------------------- The Alryne tribe was known to be a very power-hungry group of Vikings, however they have remained quiet for generations. Now the tribe has faded into legend. However, their current leader, Brendan the Battle Winner, has found the location of the King of Dragons. And he wants it for himself. It is located on the island of Berk, but that island is known to have dragon-riding warriors who have defeated villains such as Viggo Grimborn and even Drago Bludvist, so he must plan carefully. He starts by sending out a group of scouts lead by his daughter Brenna, and in that group is a girl named Alice Flarson. On their journey to Berk, they are attacked by one of the rarest and feared dragons in the world: the Flightmare. A dragon that glows as bright as the sun and is capable of freezing its enemies in fear. The dragon is struck down, but Alice finds it injured on the small island where the group temporarily set up camp. She frees the dragon and flees back to her camp, but as time goes on she finds herself going back to find the dragon and even befriending it. During all of this she discovers a side to dragons that no one from her tribe ever saw, and she makes it her job to warn the chief of Berk before Alryne can take the king of dragons and put the entire dragon kind at jeopardy. War against Alryne is inevitable, but Alice thinks she might be able to help Berk prepare for the battle ahead.

UNVEILING SECRETS IS A RISKY CHOICE. The limits of Reef Beach aren't strong enough to stop Sapphire's curiosity. She's been so curious about the whole idea of never going out into the world. Sapphire wasn't going to sit around and wait, so sneaking out must be the right idea. But even being cautious and quiet isn't enough for the dangers that lurk around to stop them from tangling Sapphire into them. When she accidentally catches herself in a lot of trouble, she needs to recover and fight back. But, then she gets into a bigger mess . . . . Staying close to the shadows in the moonlit night, she crawls her way in to find the answers. How did she end up in Reef Beach? Who are her parents - and why did they leave her there? How come Reef Beach is so limited? When her friends are in danger and she finds out about the raging war between the NightWings and SeaWings, Sapphire needs to act up. But finding the answers to all her questions isn't as simple as waving a wing. Finding new secrets, new friends, and even unveiling a prophecy. More questions come to her. Can she fulfill this prophecy? Will Sapphire succeed to stopping the war? Or will the war drag on endlessly with more dragons dying one by one . . . . [This is Book 1 of The Twilight Star Prophecy Arc] <°*^--------------------------*{O}*--------------------------^*°> The book series "Wings of Fire" does not belong to me and rightfully belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. The world and tribes are all by Tui T. Sutherland. I only own the writing and the OCs I made (Also Reef Beach!). Some parts of the world may be rewritten to fit the nature of this story. Do not use my OCs or cover art in anyway without my permission. Thank you.
