Life hasn't been easy for Meeka Malone and her family.

Her mother is dead, her brother has gone off the deep end, and there are lot of unanswered questions about what lead to the murder of her mother Angie. 

After the last tragedy strikes, Meeka & her police officer father make the move from quiet Washington, D.C. to the mean streets of Chicago's, South side. 

Meeka tries make the best of it in Chicago,
but the secrets from Washington stay with her. 

It isn't not long before she catches the eye of recently sprung juvie bird, Carl Gallagher. 

With his new found status as a drug dealer, 
Carl is enjoying the life of money, power, and status in the Southside, all thanks to his boss.

But every boss needs a beautiful girl by his side. 

So when he meets new student, Meeka Malone, he falls in. 

Carl doesn't shy away from trying to get Meeka to notice him with his White Chocolate persona.
