Witches were meant to protect; they were not meant to kill.

But over the years, witches began to learn that not all who possessed magic wished to use it for good. No, some of them found pleasure within chaos and violence- harvesting magic from their rituals.

Believing themselves to be lost beyond redemption, the witches began to seek a cure to the darkness that plagued their species.

Found deep within old and ancient magic, the twisted tongues of the ancestors proved to give them faith.

For a chosen one would come forth and save them all.

The problem? Said chosen one was locked away in a tomb underneath the ruins of a church in Mystic Falls, Virginia, her vampire brothers believing she died the night they were turned.

And the hybrid that comes to town seeking to end his thousand years of torment has a certain interest in their savior.

Will their species be saved or will they succumb to the darkness that terrorizes them?
