"Please," a soft raspy plea echos through the dark damp room "please I beg of you. Let me go. You can kill the baby, I do not care just please dont hurt me anymore." The woman sobs in her filthy and purple arms; her body curling into a fatal position on the boken tiled floor.

The figure in the corner scoffs and shakes it's head as a piercing scrap-like sound of a knife clawing at another knife shatters the woman's ears. "Please!" The woman shouts as fresh tears flow down her face, her body shaking more.

"That child will live," the figure speaks low enough to be heard by the woman "you on the other hand, mi'lady, will not." The lady's eyes grow as a deep set of realisation sinks with her as she shakes her head with growing tears. "As these are the true beats to the wooden drum."

~~~
Fee. Thy. Foe. Thumb.
Those are the beats of the wooden drum.
Ask not where the sounds come.
Ask not why you should run.
For if you know, then you are done.
Those are the beats of the wooden drum.
