When she was two years old, Estela Lorenzo's father planned an attack on terrorist group Cuatro (Four) that was authorised by the Spanish government. A mere day before the attack, President Ramiro Costa was assassinated and replaced by terrorist enthusiast Basilio de Santigo. This meant that Estela, her parents, her two older brothers and her older sister were forced to leave their native Alicante and relocate to England. 

Since the tender age of five, Estela has been abducted twice a year, for a period of two days, and taken to La Gomera, in order to pay off her father's "debt". She's forced to follow inhumane orders and carry out unimaginable tasks. 

And then she finds the man that got her into this mess.
