"Atreus, how long this time?" I asked.

"Probably just a few more minutes, Love. I'm sorry." His green eyes crinkled. I think he hated it just as much as I did.

"I wish I could stay." I laid my head on his shoulder. This time we were siting on the grass, watching the sunset.

"Me too," he said, as he kissed my head. I watched him fade away, again.

Emery was turning sixteen. It was supposed to be the initiation of her change, but everything doesn't seem to go as planned.
