Though to get there Frisk had to sacrifice a friend (Asriel) and from that day on frisk just couldn't get the fact that she couldn't save someone out of her head. They were so thrilled by Frisks determination, their will to live came back, and their soul finally collided with their dead, cold body. Chara was finally brought back to life, by no one other than Frisk.
