No, I wasn't head cheerleader in high school nor did I date the captain of the football team. I wasn't popular and all the things you'd expect from the main character, very sorry to disappoint. I did, however, graduate top of my class and was on the swim team, but even still, I was never the center of attention for long. Not for the reasons you'd think anyway.
A lot happened in high school, things that will forever be with me but I was ready to move on and leave all the drama and unwanted energy behind. I was ready for a for a fresh new start but boy, did the world have news for me...

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
