Her life was what a sane person would call a nightmare; the loss of her mother in a horrific car accident, and ending up living with a drunk abusive father. Her hope glimmers as she encounters a sparkle in the ocean when forced to go on a holiday to California, a creature one would consider mythical, a creature that saves her life.
