Eric Territ, the son of bandits, is not your average protagonist. In fact, he probably shouldn't be a protagonist at all seeing as he has a terrible personality and is more prone to robbing people than helping them. However, when he is abandoned by those closest to him and is mixed up in the affairs of a runaway slave and the hero of all people, things are going to get interesting. And he'll show them all that, while he is weak, luck is a powerful force to be reckoned with. The cover picture is not mine and I may use references to different shows in the story. A suicidal nerd crashes into a hot Italian tourist while, ironically, running for his life. Romance and complicated feelings ensue. *** Eric is stuck in a life he hates: he is lonely, his job is boring and unfulfilling, the best thing he has to look forward to is retirement. Except he's only twenty-five, and he just can't keep going like this until then. The only logical thing to do is to kill himself. Except he decided that if he's going to die soon, he might as well enjoy himself a little in the meantime, so he makes a bucketlist and gives himself twenty days to work through it. It turns out life is a lot more interesting when you have nothing to lose, and between shootouts, muggings, revenge, and more travel than he's done in his lifetime, he meets a man who sees him for who he is, and seems to like what he sees. Content warnings: Suicidal ideation and planning. #ONC2025 Prompt 110: 20 days of freedom.
