Nari returns to Seoul due to a promising job offer. She reconnects with family and childhood friends. (In this universe Jin and Tae are brothers) Jin is her longest friendship and with whom she spoke to constantly while she lived abroad. Nari is close with his family and she is surprised to learn his younger brother Tae has also been back for a couple of weeks. He had been abroad as well for his degree. She and Jin are the same age, Tae is 6 years younger. She grew up seeing him as the annoyingly cute little sibling who always wanted to tag along even if it wasn't always appropriate. They lost contact when he got his group of friends in high school and when she left the country for her own career plans. They reconnect, or better said, she meets Tae as an adult for the first time at Jin's birthday dinner. She is surprised at his charm and sweetness. Even more at the chemistry she feels when they spend some time together and catch up. But what catches her off guard and sends her down a spiral is when Tae shows up at another gathering with the specific intent of letting her know she's been his crush since he knew what those were. He is direct in expressing his interest in her now that they're both at the same place at the same time. Nari is conflicted. He's her best friend's little brother! How would that dynamic work? She can't pass this as a little kid's infatuation anymore. Not when she's deeply curious to get to know this grown man who owned up to his feelings.
