Nick and Rachel are a young couple whose love is kept apart by her demanding step mothers rules and views. The two finally plan to leave their life behind and start anew, but things don't go as they had hoped.
This is just a short story I wrote for my creative writing class. The assignment was to take a fairy-tale and modernize or change it and I felt like sharing it.

This is a very old tale of The Brother's Grimm, almost 200 years old, or possibly more. This tale is about a young girl who was born with very, very long hair, who was kidnapped at birth by a wicked, old hag. There are many versions of this tale, such as the King stealing lettuce from the hag's garden, and as a punishment the hag took his newborn daughter. Some involve the hag stealing the baby because of it's beauty and youth. Though many versions of this tale has been told over the years, the plot remains the same. It was about a young girl with long hair who was kidnapped at a young age by an old hag, and then confined in a tower with only one window. This version of the tale involves the hag's past. This is the tale of love, loss, and grief. And of course, a little bit of magic.Complete
