I think leaving the "cookie cutter island" was the first mistake, and bringing horses into the picture was the second and from that point on we just kept making mistakes, but we didn't know it, we didn't know that these events would shape us more as a family, we didn't know that moving would build up to our family pulling and pushing at the seams, trying to free ourselves from the realization that we had messed everything we knew and loved up.

**Book 2 in the Coda Paxton Series** From the very moment I met Oakley Meisner, I knew my life was going to change, big time. As if my world wasn't messy enough already, she whirled in like a hurricane and turned everything upside down. I have a lot to thank that girl for, though. She introduced me to my best friend and got me into roping; the sport I grew to love. And, as much as I hate it, I have to credit her for giving me the confidence to believe in myself and stand up for what's right. If there's one good thing to be said about Oakley, it's that she was relentless in forcing me to stand up, dust myself off, and get right back on with life.
