Kikyo was just an experiment of the Snake Sannin, nothing special in the eyes of many. She was taken by Sasuke Uchiha to assist him on his quest to hunt Itachi Uchiha. She was there when he first came to the Sound.
She was there as he was for her.
And when she saw him smile at that girl from Konoha, she was confused as to why her chest began to ache.
Why did it hurt?..

"Sasuke-kun!" The pink haired woman smiled at the boy in the bed next to her with such love in her green eyes. "You can't get up yet!"
Sasuke merely smiled at the woman and caressed her cheek, "I wanted to see you...I was hoping to make things up to you..for everything I've done."
Kikyo kept herself behind the door, her chakra hidden. She didn't know how to feel about this. All of sudden, her chest started to ache and her eyes began to water.
She hurried away from the scene, confused and all of a sudden started to cough into her hands.
When she looked into her palms, she gasped in fear.
Bloody flower petals were all she saw.

She sighed as she felt her body weaken and grabbed the pen once more,
"Dear Sasuke Uchiha..."
