As I was walking that night, on that lonely path
All by myself, trying to find my way back
Having not the slightest idea where the road will lead me to
And then I heard pounding footsteps behind me
As I turned,
An eerie silence hung in the air
And then in the flash of a second
I saw the innocent smile of a girl that melted my heart
I stood there astounded
The girl in rags, all by herself
Just walking, seemed to recall the tunes of a song she had just heard
Seeing me, she smiled again
And so did every ounce of me; smile!
As I looked in her eyes that glittered, radiating the warmth in her heart
She put her hand forward with a promise to comfort me in my plight
I clung to it tight and walked all the way long
For miles and miles we walked; singing, dancing, chatting and laughing.
All the fear, the agony seemed to fade away
In the warm touch of her smooth little hand.
And there we were, reached at my destination-My Home
But just as I was about to ask her to join me,
