Texas is now overrun, outer cities in ruin, and Austin in chaos. The Mad King now rules the state, and no one has stopped his destructive path. Metas existed. It wasn't a secret. Few people were okay with metas living among them. Most people tried to keep metas and humans separated. Humans got a lot more privilege, no matter what metas tried. Protests? Ignored. Hiding your powers? They always found out. It had been going on for decades now, since the first ever meta sighting was recording, and it was common knowledge that metas deserved less. One college student had the brilliant idea to stand up for his fellow metas. For the first time in history, a meta accomplished something and wasn't struck down for it.
