In a flash, the alien apocalypse begins. "There's a reason this place is abandoned," Brian says quietly. "And there's a reason you're in the back," Mia replies. "And you're using chat because...?" I type. "It's too quiet here. Better safe then sorry." I frown, readjusting in the dim glow of the lamp in my family room. My parents are in Heiyenna town tonight, and I'm on the couch, wrapped in rough blankets and down with the chills. And four of my friends are heading towards the abandoned house in Chamber Street.
