Mirella Acerbi.
Her father was a fisherman with very little money for it, and her mother tried to assist by doing sewing and mending clothing for locals. When she was thirteen, her father owed so many taxes and was unable to pay them, so she was taken away by the guards to compensate. She was supposed to work off his debt for him, but a kind woman had intervened with inquiries as to why these guards were dragging a young girl along with them. She was a woman of status, so they dismissively told her. Sensing they intended to do a little more than put her to work with menial tasks- she paid them a sum of money that was probably negotiated a little higher than it ought to. Mirella was in debt to the woman, a nun by the looks of it. She introduced herself as Teodora Contanto, and she was unlike any traditional nuns that Mirella had known about. All Rights Reserved
