Izuku Midoriya had to suffer through true hell. The pain of knowing you're not loved, the reality of being alone, the grief of feeling like you're worthless. His past was traumatic, and he had scars to prove that he survived. However, surviving doesn't make it any easier to live on. He would have to fight for his strength, control, and his place in this world on his own.
"Father. . . why? Why did it have to come to this? Why do you hate me so much?"
"I don't hate you, I just don't love you enough to overlook that you took her from me."
"You mean mother?"
"That's Inko to you, brat!"
". . . yes, father."

Elirith was a "mistake," born with a weak constitution and mental state. He didn't have any control. His emotions, actions, feelings- they were barely his. All of this was only accentuated when he received the deciding factor in his life.
"T-this is. . . my quirk? Really?"
"I do believe so."
Shift.
"Damn!"
"What's wrong? It's better than no quirk, right?"
Shift.
"N-no! I can't! I CAN'T! If everything is like t-this. . . then I-"
"My boy, it's too bad that it had to be like this."
Shift.
"What!?"
"You ungrateful brat!"

Things get better. That's what everybody tells themselves. There was no exception, in this case, Izuku.
"So what you're saying is that things will get better. Just a bit longer. . ."
"However, nothing will change if you don't make them. You do know this, right?"
". . . Yes-"
"So do it, change your destiny!"
". . . Yes."

"I refuse to give up, and I refuse to give in. You can all either watch me become the greatest hero, or you can support me. Either way, this is my story, and I'm not going to waste this chance.
I'm about to go out of control, so prepare yourself, World."
TW: mental illness, self harm, suicide, abuse

More than anything in the world, Izuku wanted to be a hero. He didn't really know what sparked this desire; maybe it was because he wanted to prove his parents wrong. Maybe it was because that's what his friend, Kacchan, wanted to do as well.
But when Izuku finally developed his quirk, it wasn't what he had expected. It wasn't WHEN he expected it, either. In fact, it's timing caused quite a bit of trouble. Only four years old, and Izuku Midoriya had accidentally killed his only living relatives.
The Bakugou family adopted Izuku. Katsuki and Izuku became like brothers, and began their path to becoming heroes together. Little did they know, Izuku's troubles with his quirk being "villainous" were far from over.
** I discontinued this because I'm not happy with it. I'm working on something with a similar concept, but different enough that I wouldn't call it a rewrite. Sorry. **
