It follows the start of the third year of high school for twin sisters Yasuko and Sumiko. As the school year begins Yasuko notices her sisters sudden interest in Kaito a boy in the same year as them whos been Sumikos best friend since the start of high school. Yasuko wants her sister to try something new with her appearance in hopes of catching Kaitos attention and despite Sumiko's wishes Yasuko convinces her to change her clothes and to let Yasuko cut her hair.
This sudden change sparks loads of misunderstandings and unintentionally leads to a catastrophic change in all of their lives.
