Bubba "Gumball" Prince was perfectly happy keeping his life hidden. Which, needless to say, meant hiding himself from all of his friends. Or what he wanted to consider his friends. Sure, all he had to do was smile. Like what he was always taught.

"Just smile! Even if it's fake darling!" the woman would chirp, staring at him. "Just one fake smile after another! It makes everything better."

Marshall Lee, on the other hand, did not believe in such things. It was either real, or you don't feel at all. He was always taught looks get you everything and everywhere. Of course he would think that. He had it all, money, popularity, girls and guys throwing themselves at him left, right, and center. But one can only get tired after living almost 6years of just meaningless one night stands, and who wouldn't crave a little bit of pink happiness in their life?

Together, they seem like the oddest couple of guys, if even given the privilege to be considered of the male gender, but what happens when after a string of unfortunate events turns their weird, queer, love-hate relationship, into just that? An actual relationship.
