Then the Things came.

Nobody knew what to call them. Shade-like figures that varied between shadows to physical bodies. If you experience sleep paralysis, you know what I'm talking about. If not...well,  just imagine someone, not anyone you know, but the basic shape of someone. An embodiment of your worst fears and negativity. As everyone has different fears, the things you see vary. Most of the time they are average height, but in special cases, they can be over eight feet tall, with thin limbs and dark coats.

Everything was chaos.

I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. In the near future the entire world is conquered by a group of people known as Royalties, or the Royals for short. They declared war on the planet. The population was cut into 6 groups, one for each block, each the size of a continent. Every other healthy child was marked at birth to become a Keeper. Children were often sent to other blocks to keep the population exactly even, but not always. Rebellions rose but were extinguished quickly, before they even really started. Eventually the only hope was a single underground rebellion until even that began to disappear. This is the same exact story as An Inch of Infinity except it has been broken into small chapters to be more easily read on mobile devices. I own the characters, the story, the cover art. Everything. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
