She stared down blankly towards
the water, only to be met with her
own reflection staring back at her.

Of course she wasn't surprised.
It was obvious that she was going
to be faced with her own reflection.

But as she stared into the moonlit water,

and as people crowded the bridge she
stood on,

her mind was filled with thoughts
of him.

She missed him.

Her heart felt empty without him.

And that's when realization hit her.

She loved him.

And without him, she felt alone.
