Sparda's closest friend, Endeavor, would constantly challenge him, and fail. So, he suggests to use their kids this time. Vergil was never a fighter, yet was very skilled in it. So, Sparda chose him. Endeavour chose his son, Todoroki. Vergil would not fight, for he was scared to upset Todorokies sister, Cheet. But, slowly but surely Vergil began to like to fight. He thought it brought out a person's true strength. After all, in his mind, might controls everything. And the world will slowly see the corruption of Vergil Sparda on his hunger for power
