I watched the rain hit the window absentmindedly twirling my wand, weaving it in and out of my fingers. "Who are you?" the plump brown haired boy standing in the doorway asked me curiously, a toad clutched against his chest. "Im Katherine." "Katherine who?" I turned my head towards the small boy and smirked. The plump boy shuffled nervously. "Lestrange." My eyes flashed and my smirk grew wider as the boys face paled and he squeaked running out of the train compartment. I pushed my long curly hair out of my face and leaned back chuckling. I turned to the frowning boy sitting in the seats across from me. "Its like he thinks Im going to curse him or something."

"You know I'm not a man of many wise words Chloe Potter." Said the boy, who I have always thought as rather dim "and I don't care who you are, or who you're related to..." "Ugh, where exactly are you going with this?" I rolled my eyes, looking into the amber flames of the fire that set homely and warm light around the room. The way the light danced across the walls made it seem as though the two of us were not alone. "The same way we've been trying to go for about two years" He said "come on, you can't really be that blind can you?" I paused, no idea what an earth he was talking about. I didn't reply to him, I just sat there. Refusing to talk to him, to give into what he was saying. He caught on and continued, as though my response wouldn't have mattered anyway. "You don't see the way he looks at you." I scoffed and tore my eyes away from the fireplace "and how exactly does he look at me, may I ask?" There was a sickening silence falling around the room as he sat in deep thought for a while. He joined me on the sofa and stared into the flames I had found comfort in looking into only seconds before. It was a small while before he spoke again and the words lingered around my head for an even longer time. It may not have even been what he had said, or even whether it was the truth. It was just the simplicity of it that made me want to hear more. It's dark in the closet, I can just vaguely see his features and realise how close we're standing. Like, really close. My chest is toughing his and my hand is resting on his shoulder. "Protecting you," he replied, just as Nagini, Tom's huge snake, slithered into the room. I could feel myself becoming faint and I pressed myself into Tom for protection from the venomous creature. I began to panic, now trying to get away from Tom, who held me around the waist, tightly against him. "I know what I promised, Cindria, I promise Nagini won't hurt you. She'll just be outside your door, guarding you, making sure nothing happens to you in case you have any ideas," he told me, putting his hand on my cheek.
