Jack doesn't know what's going on in his life or what's wrong with it. These powers that only he has are always bothering him, and he doesn't know where his parents are. Jack's constantly worrying that something unexpected will happen since he doesn't really have control over what will happen. And to add on top of all of that, he's only eight years old.
