I watched as he rubbed the back of his neck and turned around, walking away but stopping after a few steps and he turned around to face me, with a smirk on his lips, "With a face like yours, I wish I was blind." And that's when everyone around us burst into laughter. I thought this man was going to hug me and make me feel safe, but instead, he decided to push me to the ground and make everyone laugh. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe." Safe was something Alex hadn't felt since he was a child, and even then, after the truth all came out, he realized he had never been safe in the first place. Jack was the boy's name, and Jack made Alex feel safe and loved. Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Jack or Alex, and this story is simply a figment of my imagination.
