Flashback: (Age 6)

All the kids I used to hang out with shied away from me after my quirk appeared. Kids I once called friends treated me like a pariah. I sat on the beach watching all the other kids my age laugh and play in the shallows. Anytime I tried to join in, they'd all scream and run away, afraid I'd use my quirk on them. Biting my lip, trying to keep myself together, trying to convince myself I didn't need friends, I dug in the sand with my flimsy plastic shovel trying to build a sand castle.

A bright blue sand castle mold appeared in front of my face. I glanced upward and spotted a little girl around my age with long mint green pigtails and bright eyes that seemed to shift from lapis lazuli to violet smiling at me. She extended the sand castle mold to me with a shy smile.

"Aren't you afraid of me?" I asked her curiously as I reached for the sand castle mold.All Rights Reserved
