Aria Adkins only cares about three things:

1.) the bills piling up on her kitchen counter.
2.) getting her sister out of their dead-end hometown and off to college.
3.) keeping the bottle of Jim Beam out of her heartbroken, alcoholic mother's reach.

Closed-off and content as one can be with a never ending routine of crappy part-time jobs and the task of cleaning up broken whiskey bottles, Aria is used to dealing with things by herself; especially after her father runs off and she's forced to step up to the plate and solely care for her dysfunctional mother and younger sister. At twenty-one, Aria sticks to herself and has no time for men, romance, and most of all, love. After witnessing the demise of her parents' train wreck of a marriage lead to a cycle of adultery, addiction, and abuse, she swears to herself that she wants no part in any of it.

That all changes when she crosses paths with tall and tattooed New Orleans native Austin Delaney, who weasels his way into Aria's heart and refuses to let her maneuver life alone.

First, he offers her a job. And then? The promise that he's not going anywhere.

*WARNING: RATED MATURE DUE TO LANGUAGE/SEXUAL CONTENT. READERS MUST BE 17+* *CANNOT be read without reading prior novels in series* Asher Pryce hides behind a wall of secrets he's spent most of his life building up. How else is the adopted child whose birth parents run a drug cartel supposed to fit in? He's notorious for his overconfident swagger and total lack of patience for bullshit - a master of masks. The one thing in his life he can't fake? His feelings for his best friend's twin sister. When she returns back home after eight years of living in another city, Asher is ready to take their lifelong friendship to another level. Of course, life has rarely worked in his favour. Between the letters his birth parents keep sending him, a run-in with an old enemy that's out for his blood, and his responsibility to protect his adoptive parents from his fucked up birth family, he would only be putting the woman he loves in danger. He may make his living as a fighter but this is one fight he's destined to lose. Right? Aria Hunter has gotten pretty good at faking it until you make it. After getting through an abusive relationship and fleeing to another city Aria is ready to return home years later. Everything has changed, including her relationship with her best friend. There's a constant magnetic pull between them and Aria feels their intense chemistry with every touch and look Asher steals from her. Gone is the once scrawny and irritable ten-year-old boy replaced by a cocky and assertive man that's way too hard to resist. But his looks aren't the only thing that changed about him. When Asher finds himself part of his birth parent's crowd once again, Aria knows this only means trouble. The more she fights to keep him safe, the harder it is to hide how she feels about him. Maybe their feelings for each other just aren't meant to be realized. After all, falling for your best friend is just a cliché. Right? All rights reserved to TheFeveredBookaholic.
Our Broken Pieces by meclayton2016
43 parts Complete Mature
What do you get when your broken pieces are too broken to repair? A destructive relationship that's dangerous. Mystic Mystic Anderson was broken, and she knew this. However, she had no idea why. Her parents were wonderfully supportive, she got along nicely with her brother and sister, they lived in a great neighborhood, and she was well on her way to graduating high school. So, with all that going for her, how did she end up so broken and lost? Gage Gage Evans was evil, and he knew this. He also knew exactly why. On the surface, he had the perfect life. He was popular, good-looking, athletic, lived in a goddamn mansion, both his parents were doctors, and he was well on his way to graduating high school. So, with all that going for him, how did he end up so evil and unconscionable? When life has other plans... Ten years later, Mystic is a shell of her former self. Estranged from her family, she has only one friend who she can trust and a job that is as mundane as her life. When her new job put her face-to-face with Gage Evans again, it's obvious that she hasn't been cured of him. Ten years later, Gage is as cold and as ruthless as he's ever been. The only people he can tolerate are his mother and best friend, everyone else can go screw themselves. When he comes face-to-face with Mystic Anderson again, it's obvious that he's still as angry as the day she left him. With desire and rage warring with each other, can Gage forgive Mystic for all those missing years? Better yet, can Mystic forgive Gage for the heartache she's had to endure? And can they figure it out before one destroys the other? NOTE: This book contains adult language, adult situations, explicit sexual encounters, and questionable aggression and consent.
