The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? Yea, that is a shitty idea, but once again, no one cares what I think.Complete

I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. A Collection of Poems
These poems are just some of the little pieces that make up my life. Whenever I get inspired by someone or something, I write a little story about it in the form of a poem. In a way, it helps me express what I have in my mind in a very vague way. I'm not that kind of a direct person, but there are things that are sometimes, better to kept secret. Here, these poems are what I wanted to say to my friends, to other important people, to people in general, to the world around me, to life and each detail it possesses. Each poem has a central theme, and around that revolves a certain story that I want to impart, something too delicate to be expressed directly, something too complicated. You were always an introvert even if your family was outgoing so during the break from online school due to bullying almost having you trying to make you take your own life, your parents thought it would be good to let you have some fun. A family camping trip with your parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents sounds fun but you don't like crowds, loud noises, or doing crazy things. You liked it quiet indoors with books, movies, video games, or playing by yourself outside away from other kids. Feeling unheard, you sneak off into the woods to sulk but everything changes when you see something fall from the sky and land just by the lake then you go to find... a weird-looking pink watch that doesn't even tell time. Not know, it does so much more... Say hello to your new friends.
