[Part 1 in the "Contemplative Compositions" series] Here lies the random and slightly organized thoughts of moi. My take on the world is a click away. So, if you want to, CONTINUE!!!! 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, "Call me Castor." I blinked. Castor. The name felt foreign on my tongue, like something I wasn't supposed to know. I hesitated before murmuring, "Castor..." His fingers, which had been pressing a fresh cloth against my wounds, stilled. Something shifted in the air between us. "...Say it again," he murmured, his voice quieter this time. I frowned, confused. "Castor." It wasn't the name itself, but the way I said it-soft, almost hesitant. Like I was trying to figure out who he was beyond the version I had built in my mind. Psyche Calix is a young woman who lost everything in the span of a decade-her home, her family, her sense of belonging-all shattered by the hidden truths and treacherous magic of the Magnificent North and the Meridian Empire.
