"It's the room of requirement of taxi cabs." An F/F, friends-to-lovers short story with a hint of magic. Claire Reynolds is a journalist working for a small city paper, desperate to make a name for herself while trying to confront the confusing feelings she has for her best friend, Jo. At the end of a fateful drunken night, Claire steps into a mysterious taxi that takes her exactly where she needs to be. This 4,000+ word short story was inspired by the following writing prompt: There's an urban legend about a taxi cab that doesn't take you where you want to go, but where you need to go. One night you step into this cab. (Completed!)

Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. Note that a major part of this story focus on healing from and learning to live with trauma, so though you could potentially read it but skip some specific parts, if you're not comfortable reading something that deals with the listed topics, then this book won't be for you. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (completed) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light (completed) Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love (ongoing)
