I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as I realized that there was a complete stranger in my room, who has been watching me sleep for who knows how long.

As much as I want to escape this place, I can't just leave Meg and Kim behind.
"Pardon me?" Looking a little shocked, she also seems to understand my anxiety about running away with a total stranger that just appeared in my room.
"I don't even know your name!" I struggle to keep my voice at a low volume.

I woke up in a metal cell, wearing some kind of black jumpsuit and bulletproof vest. It was strange that I knew the room was metal, or it was a cell, when I couldn't remember my own name. Or where I came from or what I was doing here. The room was tiny. My feet touched the door when I lied down. I stood up and pushed the door. Solid. Locked. It wasn't meant to be opened. "Take the small one, she isn't human." Another officer came over and started to take her from my arms. She let go in shock but I grabbed her arm and I tugged back but I didn't want to hurt her. "No!"
